A lot of my bicycles I get from people who live in Winterthur. Same story with this canary bird. The paintwork on this Mondia is just one of a kind. An absolute eye catcher. I am really proud of this project, because the bicycle was in a really bad condition. First of all I had to clean it for ages, since it probably never got clean before. After that I replaced the handlebar, brake levers, all the cables and housings, the saddle, and the front derailleur (the old one was just a piece of rust). The bicycle has a really clean look now and is ready to fly on the road again.

What a bicycle. Love at first sight! And also my first Luongo frame. They are known for building really nice bicycles. Moreover I am a big fan of the Vancouver Canucks! When I spent some time in Vancouver, Roberto Luongo was the team's goal keeper. A true leader and always fun to watch. This makes this bicycle pretty special for me and of corse, I had to get this one for my portfolio. When I bought it, the bicycle was in a decent condition. I had to replace the tires and spent quite some time to center the wheels. After adjusting the shifting and braking the bicycle is ready now for a new rider.

One day, my boss asked me if I could take care of his bicycle. So one sunny saturday morning he locked his bicycle to a water plug in my basement and left the keys in my mailbox. The bicycle was, like most bicycles I get, in a bad condition - flat tires, broken shifters, rusted cables. The main goal was to change the wheels from tubular to clincher. After Nino from Gorilla Urban Cycling explained the whole process to me, it was a piece of cake. I also renewed all the cables and cable housings, adjusted the brakes and shifters and finally added a fancy red handlebar tape: Cobra snake skin! I am glad my boss loves the result.

I was looking for a bicycle for a friend of mine. After an intense search, I found this stunning bicycle and just had to buy it. Unfortunately my friend was looking for something else, so I am offering it to another lucky person. I bought this bicycle from Buecherwäldli - a foundation that helps people with their professional integration. They mostly fix bicycles for Velafrica and only sell 10-15% of their fixed bicycles in order to cover expenses. Go check out their homepage!

This project took me ages. The bicycle was in such a bad condition, that I had troubles to motivate myself to work on it. But now I finally managed to finish it and I am really happy with the result. I cleaned everything, trued the wheels, added new cables, new cable housings and the grips. It runs very smoothy now and is a perfect bicycle for smaller people.

This is an absolute premier here at velolechien. There is no way it can get better then this: It's a complete rebuilt from scratch, all with original and high-end components. You basically get a new vintage bicycle. But let's start at the beginning. I first saw this Koga in Nino's bicycle shop 'GOrilla . urban cycling'. When I asked him about it, he told me that he saved the bicycle from the garbage dump when a guy tried to get rid of it. It was in very bad condition, not worth a single glance - dirty and rusty. So Nino got himself a project and started the overhaul. He paid attention to every single detail: Repainted the frame, added new decals, cleaned and oiled all the components, added the missing ones, and reassembled everything professionally. The result is just breathtaking! Nino is a master of his trade. A couple of days ago Nino asked me, if I would be interested in adding the Koga to my collection. Since he can't find the time to ride it himself and knows how much I love those Koga's. Unfortunately, the frame is to small for me, otherwise I would have kept it myself. Consequently, we are now looking for someone who is just as passionate about this bicycle as we are!

So, what's the color of the bicycle? - Ehmmmmmmmm it's like indianred, kind of ehmmm peach! Nono ehm coral, I mean a sort of pinkish, a bit you know? You love it or hate it. And of corse, I love it! The bicycle is something special, runs amazing and comes all with Shimano 600 components! Or with the words of my friend: 'Geili...nimmi! So nice!'

Ohhh, what a beauty! Another Koga Miyata. I don't know what it is, but these Kogas are just amazing. I got this one from an person in Affoltern. When I picked it up on sunday, it was fantastic to philosophize with another bicycle enthusiast. He barely spoke german and we communicated mostly with gestures. The bicycle itself was already in an excellent condition. I only had to replace the brake cables, adjusted the brakes and cleaned everything. The components on this Koga are very special - Shimano 600 ax. Once again, this is a Koga Miyata with only original components.

I organized this fancy bicycle for a good friend of mine. One evening at Le Calvados I showed her the picture of my newest bicycle and of corse, she excitedly said: That's mine - I love it! But sadly, the chosen one wasn't the right size for her. So I started the mission of finding a bicycle that suits and fits her perfectly. When I found this Titan bicycle I knew it's perfect for her. So I bought it and overhauled it in my living room. And of corse, as soon as my girlfriend saw the bicycle in our living room, she excitedly said: That's mine - I love it! But sadly, the chosen one isn't the right size for her. Luckily for my friend!

This bicycle is unfortunately not for sale. But I hope you enjoy the pictures. I first saw this Koga Miyata on Ebay Germany a couple of weeks ago and was absolutely blown away by it's beauty. Sadly the bicycle was located in Munich, so just the transportation alone would cost a fortune. When I told Nino, the owner of 'GOrilla . urban cycling' about it, he replied with a smile, that his dad lives only a short hop away from Munich and will drive to Zurich next week. So his dad could easily pick up the bicycle for me and transport it to Zurich. I couldn't believe my luck and we arranged everything. So thanks again to Nino and his Dad! You might ask yourself now: Why would someone go through that amount of effort just for a bicycle? What is so special about it? Koga Miyata is a brand that is known for it's quality and their great attention to detail. All the components on this bicycle are top shelf: Shimano Dura Ace. The special details are for example the Koga Miyata label on the saddle or the cable routing inside the handle bar. And what makes especially this Koga Miyata so precious to me, is the fact that all the components on the bicycle are original!
