This is a first: I was riding this bicycle when a police officer stopped me and gave me a ticket. A huge ticket! The reason was that my bicycle was missing a back brake, even tough my front brake was super strong and worked better than most brakes on other bicycles. After a short friendly talk with the officer, I got my first ticket ever. And I have been riding bicycles in the city for 20 years now! So three lessons to be learned here: First, always ride with two properly working brakes. Second, be aware of what's allowed and what's not. So, next time a police officer catches you doing something wrong, you just smile, pay the ticket and keep on riding. Third: Separate not educate! If the police tries to educate cyclists, it's a waste of energy and time. Cyclists need better infrastructure! I can highly recommend going to the critical mass events and show your support. It's crazy fun!

Now to this beautiful bicycle. After I've got the ticket, I thought okay, it's time to do it properly. I bought a couple of vintage Shimano Dura Ace brakes and installed them. Now, the pink beauty brakes like crazy and the police is happy too. Moreover, I added a new front basket, a new handlebar, new bar tape, new stem, new brake levers, new brake cables, new pedals and a new saddle. I was happy with the one gear this bicycle has, so I didn't change that. One gear doesn't sound like much, but it's the perfect one to get around town. This bicycle runs great and is definitely an eye catcher.

Next to Koga Miyata, GT bicycles are my favorite vintage bikes. They just look amazing and are very well built. So no wonder the bike I daily ride is a GT. And for the first time Velolechien has a GT to pass on. I originally planned to keep this beauty for myself and use it for my cycling tours. But I realized, that for big climbs over the Swiss mountains, the gearing is not suitable for me. I need lower gears to get me up those hills. So after repairing and riding it for a bit, I am now ready to give it to someone else. When I got the bicycle, the shifters were pretty much dead. There was so much grease inside, that it took me forever to get them back to work. I used a whole can of WD40 and now they are like brand new. I also adjusted the shifters and brakes and added a new handlebar tape. Now this bike is really one of a kind - in an excellent condition. The bike rides and shifts super smooth and is an eye catcher for sure!

My first P. del Po bicycle. It can't get anymore iconic than that. One of the greatest bicycle builder from Zürich. Therefor I am super happy that I have got one of his frames. When I got it, there was a lot of work to be done. I had to strip everything down, clean it, work on the bottom bracket and the head bearing, reassemble and adjust everything. It has one gear. That seems like not enough, but it's the right one - perfect for cruising around town. Since I really love this bicycle, I have been riding it for a couple of months now. But now it is time to pass it on.

This summer, there were not many bicycles I liked on the market. And the ones I saw and had potential, were just way to expensive for my taste. Therefor I am even happier with presenting this cool bicycle. I bought it from an interesting men up in Zürich Oberland. Since the bicycle was only standing around in his garage, he was super happy that someone took it on the road again. I changed the tires and adjusted everything properly. Now, it runs great and with its ten gears, you can even ride uphill!

Summertime is bicycletime! So who is looking for a new bicycle? This one is something special. It was my cousins bicycle for many years. He finally decided it was time for an modern bicycle from Wilier. So he gave me this one to pass it on. I cleaned everything, changed the handlebar tape and added a pair of new pedals. And of corse I gave him an overall service - chain oil and a lot of WD40. It runs really fast, is pretty light and shifts and brakes perfectly. A real speedster!

I have finally arrived at my new apartment and am now ready for some new vintage bicycles! This Tour de Swiss bicycle is one of a kind. I've got really lucky with this beauty, because I was able to get it from a bicycle store that needed space. When I got it, it was already in an exceptionally good condition. After adjusting the shifting (Stormey Archer for live!) I was very pleased with the testride - Hellebores runs very smooth, brakes and shifts superb. The perfect bicycle for your city adventures!

Looks badass! That’s the reaction I often get when people see my bicycles. And then they ask how I do it. And to be honest, I have no clue. All I know is, that I like beautiful bicycles! And I always try to built them that way. This blue Cilo was already pretty beautiful when I got it. In order to make it super wonderful stunning, I replaced the stem, the brake cables and housings, added new grips and adjusted everything properly. Now it runs very smooth and fast. This wonderful vintage bicycle makes everybody smile!

A Sunny bicycle for sunny days! And this one is a serious hilarious "Lacher" - a very light Cilo frame in a yellow and gold colour scheme. The bicycle is super clean, brakes and shifts perfectly. Moreover it runs super fast. I intentionally got it for a friend of mine, but unfortunately for her / fortunately for you, it wasn't the right Sunny for her. Now, somebody else can be the lucky new owner of Sunny!

Cilo bicycles are just iconic. Probably the best swiss bicycles ever made. So no wonder, this one was technically still in a good shape. In order to make it perfect again, I only had to adjust the shifting and gears, center the wheels and fix the saddle. Now it runs great! It's a very cool bicycle. What I especially like about this Cilo is, that it looks very stealth. Therefor it's perfect for the city. You can leave it everywhere without having to worry, that somebody steals it.

My first Peugeot bicycle. And what a beauty. When I got it, it was in a bad condition - broken, rusty, dirty. It took me a while to get this one back on track. But I am really happy with the result. I cleaned the whole bicycle, removed all the unnecessary parts, changed the tubes, brake levers and handlebar and finally adjusted the shifting and braking. Now it runs great and wants to get back on the road.
