To be honest, I don't think it can get better than this: An almost brand new Koga Miyata Road Speed. It's just such a beautiful bicycle, that I would love to keep for my own collection. But since I am moving to a new flat soon, I've decided, with a heavy heart, to pass it on. The bicycle is in an excellent condition since it's been on the road for only a couple of kilometers. The pre-owner is an enthusiastic bicycle mechanic and took very good care of it. I would like to hand the bicycle over to a person who really appreciates such a classic Koga Miyata.

New year new bicycles! And the first one of 2017 is, without exaggeration, one of the nicest one I have ever owned. Everything is special on this bicycle - the Dura Ace components, the chrome parts on the steel frame, the Brooks grips and saddle and last but not least, the golden bell! I actually would love to keep it for myself. But since my velo-garage is already full, I am happy to pass this orange beauty on to somebody who truly values her.

Well well well, what can I say. This is a rose bicycle. When I got it from a women, who lives up the hill now, it was rose. And now, after the overhaul, it is still rose. But, I also made sure that it's a beautiful rose bicycle. It runs great and the rose colour makes really happy. Have you ever heard the expression: To see the world through rose-colored glasses!?

At the moment, I am really into top-of-the-line bicycles. Or to put it in other words: The best bicycles you could buy for money in the early days. For me - as I handle mostly bicycles with Shimano parts - that means Shimano Dura Ace! When I find a bicycle that I like and think is worth adding to my portfolio, I am always super happy because they are rather hard to get. So no wonder, having this bicycle makes me one lucky dude. When I bought it, it was in a decent condition. I had to replaced the cables and housings and changed the back tire. Next, I decided to change the straight handlebar into a classic racer one and added some very rare golden Shimano Dura Ace brake levers. I got them from a good friend of mine - thanks again! They give this vintage Allegro bicycle an absolutely unique look. This bicycle runs, shifts and brakes perfectly. It's an eye catcher for sure. So no wonder I got compliments from strangers on my first testride - True story!

This bicycle is just such an eye-catcher. A bicycle that has its own personality, one that comes with a big Bang! It's the first Wilier bicycle I have ever owned. But unfortunately, it's to small for me. So another lucky person will have the honor to ride it. For me, Wilier built and are still building some of the most stunning bicycles. I especially like their paint jobs. Also the paint job on this bicycle is just terrific. The pre-owner used it on a bicycle roller. As a result, there are no major scratches on the frame - it looks like new. During the test ride I realized what a fast bicycle this is. It's without exaggeration one of the nicest bicycles I have ever rode.

Cilo, or "Cycles Jean Lausanne-Oron" is probably one of the most famous bicycle company from Switzerland. But unfortunately the company went bankrupt in 2002. Even though there are a lot of Cilo bicycles on the road, each one of them is a unique piece of history and helps to keep the legacy alive! This Cilo stood in a dark garage for a long time, waiting for its time to shine again. So I took care of it, cleaned everything, replaced the handlebar, brake levers, grips and pedals. The bicycle runs incredibly smooth now and I am super happy, how this darling turned out.

The story of this beauty starts with a stolen bicycle. One of the nicest ones I have ever owned, overhauled by a famous swiss hockey player and got stolen in Wiedikon last week. On this occasion, I want to share some thoughts on stealing bicycles. So first of all, in order to not get your bicycle stolen, I have three major advices: 1. Never leave your bicycle outside overnight. 2. Always lock your bicycle on to a fix object. 3. Choose a crowded place to lock your bicycle. Of corse these advices are not a guarantee, that your bicycle won't get stolen. But they definitely help to extend the journey you will have with your bicycle. Secondly, I think that stealing bicycles is not a petty crime. Almost every bicycle has not only an emotional value to the owner, but also costs mostly a fortune. So basically there is a lot of cash rolling around and it's crazy, that only around 1%!!! of the bicycles get back to the original owner. Thirdly, there is hope! My biggest hope are GPS-Tracker, they are able to track down the location of your bicycle. I hope there will soon one on the market, that you can hide on the bicycle. So back to this beauty: It's the follow-up of the stolen one. And it's a worthy one. Most of the parts are first generation Shimano Dura Ace, a very nice Selle Italia Turbo saddle and a brand new riser handle bar!

This bicycle represents exactly what Velolechien stands for: Used vintage bicycles that are in a good running condition with a clean look. When I got the bicycle it was in a very bad shape. It was a big challenge to get it running again. But finally, I am very happy with the result. Now, the look of the bicycle is very low profile - it has a lot of patina, but runs excellently! In order to finish the project, I had to change the cables and housings, the handlebar tape, the brake pads, the saddle, the pedals, and the tires.

My 20th bicycle this year. Unbelievable! And a worthy one too - the bicycle turned out very nice. I got this bicycle from a good friend of mine, who had trouble keeping up with his girlfriend because the shifting wasn't working properly. He handed the bicycle, which has a lot of sentimental value to him, over to me and called a budget limit for it. I did a lot of research on the new parts and made some bargains, like the very cool bicycle rack from Gorilla Urban Cycling. It is not only my first bicycle with a rack, but also the first one with a dynamo. Just to keep the whole classic look going. I replaced almost all the parts: New tires, new cables and housings, new brake pads, new handlebar, new grips, new saddle, new pedals. Thanks again to my friend for giving me the opportunity to be creative.

Are you crazy? Traveling all the way to Bern only to pick up a bicycle. Yes and Yes and I would do it again every time. Because what you see here is a Vitus frame with Shimano Dura Ace components. So without exaggerating, a world class bicycle. When I bought the bicycle it was overall in a decent condition. In order to make it perfect, I cleaned everything, added new tubes and tires and exchanged the handlebar tape. The test ride confirmed what I thought before - it's a Road Runner, super fast and unique. Beep Beep
